SHEA has joined the Making Dialysis Safer for Patients Coalition, a partnership launched by CDC of healthcare-related organizations, patient advocacy organizations, industry partners, and other public health partners that span the dialysis spectrum. The Coalition aims to prevent bloodstream infections (BSIs) in hemodialysis patients. The Making Dialysis Safer for Patients Coalition has created posters, checklists, and fact sheets for use in providers’ offices, dialysis clinics, training sessions, and work areas.
