  • Solicit and oversee at least three invited reviews annually, with an emphasis on international authorship and topics relevant to pediatrics and ASHE’s niche areas.
  • Collaborate with the editorial team (Editor-in-Chief, Deputy Editor, Managing Editor) to ensure timely and high-quality editorial decisions (~21–28 days to first decision).
  • Provide a positive and responsive author experience, including follow-up on publication status and feedback on revisions.
  • Participate in ASHE podcast episodes when articles you manage are selected, either by co-hosting or preparing interview questions.
  • Promote ASHE content via professional networks, social media, and during speaking engagements (promotional materials provided).
  • Attend quarterly virtual editorial meetings and, if possible, the annual in-person Editorial Board Meeting at IDWeek.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

  • Expertise in pediatric infectious diseases, pediatric antimicrobial stewardship, or pediatric epidemiology.
  • Prior experience as a peer reviewer or in an editorial role (preferred).
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • A collaborative spirit and a passion for advancing pediatric content in the field.
