Full Member

This membership category is for people with an advanced degree, or those who feel they qualify through work experience as an expert in the field of Hospital Epidemiology, Infection Control, or Antimicrobial Stewardship. Full members are eligible to vote in our election cycle, volunteer for our Board of Directors, and our standing committees, as well as other task forces and short-term projects.

  • Middle Income Economy: $165
  • Developing Economy: $30
Associate Member

This membership category is for individuals who do not hold an advanced degree, but work in Infection control, Epidemiology, or Stewardship, or administrative staff who would benefit from our educational content and journal subscription. Associate members may vote in elections but are not eligible for committee appointment or nomination to the Board of Trustees.

  • Middle Income Economy: $165
  • Developing Economy: $30
Member-In-Training

This membership category is for post-doctoral program participants, who are specializing in Infection Control, Epidemiology, or Antimicrobial Stewardship. A Member-in-Training is not eligible for voting, nomination to our Board of Trustees, or volunteering except when applying to SHEA committees under the Fellow Program.

  • Domestic: $70
  • International: $70
  • Middle Income Economy: $55
  • Developing Economy: $15
Corporate Member

Individuals employed by businesses or industry related to healthcare epidemiology. Individuals employed by a corporate entity who also qualify for full membership should apply under this category. Corporate members do not have voting rights and may not serve on a committee or as part of our Board of Trustees.
